Can You Get Parcel Drop Boxes for Home?

Parcel drop boxes are popping up in shopping centres, supermarkets and garages. They offer a secure destination for your important deliveries and you just need a code to unlock and retrieve your parcel. While this is a preferable option to boxes being left on your doorstep, you need to remember to take a detour on the commute home. Either that or add parcel collection to your shopping list when you are next running low on milk. So, let us tell you about a more convenient option.

What’s the Best Location for Parcel Boxes?

Royal Mail is the latest delivery firm to roll out Parcel Drop Boxes. Teaming up with Sainsbury’s, they are now installed at 7 supermarkets, with plans to roll the scheme out across the country. They say that a supermarket is a great location to make it easy for you to drop off and/or collect your packages from a central location.

That’s great if you live close to a store, but what’s the alternative?

When a package is too large to post through a standard letterbox. You don’t want your orders being flung over the gate, left in the bin, shoved into the cat flap or abandoned on the doorstep. So, what is the best option?

We believe that the best location for a parcel box is by your front door. You can’t get more convenient than that! This is why we have worked with specialists in Europe to bring you a selection of parcel box options. Let us tell you more about our latest range.

New Range of Parcel Boxes for Home

Our latest range of parcel boxes are named after birds. The most compact is a wall-mounted model named Puffin. This design has a top opening mechanism with a shelf to place your parcels. As the lid closes, the boxes drop into the hold. If someone else lifts the lid, access to the hold is blocked by the shelf. Fortunately, we provide you with two keys to unlock the hold and retrieve your mail. In this model, you’ll also find pre-drilled holes to aid installation.

If you receive multiple deliveries a day or are often away from home for a few days, you might benefit from a larger capacity hold. Goldcrest is a tall and slimline free-standing parcel box. With an anthracite grey or black powder coated finish, this outdoor parcel box is resilient against the British weather.

The largest option in this range is Buzzard. It has the widest opening, making it possible to deliver boxes up to 430mm x 200mm in size, coupled with a large hold. Is this free-standing option just what you need for your small business or side hustle?

Puffin, Goldcrest and Buzzard are great for homeowners, but what about building managers who want a parcel box solution for apartments and offices? They’ve not been forgotten! We’ve created Starling, a design which neatly sits side-by-side and can be stacked. Starling can form a block of dedicated parcel boxes for each residential or commercial occupant.

Each box in the range is made in compliance with EU standards and is supplied with a 2-year warranty. And, if none of these fit the bill, check out our other parcel box options.
